Nicole Ari Parker was born in New York City. She is an American stage and film actor. The most well-known role she has played is was that of Teri, the passionate attorney Teri Jospehson, on the Showtime television series Soul Food. She is now known by her husband's name, Nikki Kodjoe. The talent she displayed in her acting was apparent since childhood. A Maryland high-school competition awarded her the best actress award. Following her time in the theater and 'The Washington Ballet Company she received a master's degree in acting from 'New York University. The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love was her first big role. Later came films such as "Boogie Nights Spark and Blue Streak. Soul Food received a lot of applause for her performance. Also, she appeared in TV shows like Second Time Around 'and Empire. Early in her career, she was in several stage plays. Parker is a politician, who plays an active part in the realm of fashion and acting is married Boris Kodjoe. Their two children are born.
Contractor who was brought up by his parents from Nigeria and Mumbai prior to turning 7, had traveled all over the world and had a taste of diverse cultures when he was a kid. After attending boarding schools during seven years of London Her family then moved to Toronto Canada where she spent much of her early years and early adulthood. Contractor trained in classical ballet in Toronto. She was also a star academically. She went to the Etobicoke School of the Arts. It's a high school that teaches arts which allowed her to not just learn about theater, but also dance too. At 16, after nearly 10 years of dancing, Contractor decided to pursue acting seriously. Following her graduation from high school Contractor accepted a scholarship at the University of Toronto to pursue the dual field of psychology and sociology. She also earned a master's degree in Theater. Contractor with a degree in sociology, having completed her university degree was invited to audition in an open audition for Pericles in the world-renowned Stratford Shakespeare Festival, [Ontario Canada] and won the part. Her performance was lauded throughout the 92 productions that she performed in. The play won her the 2002 award for the Best Production of the Year by Canadian Critics. The actor was invited to join Stratford's conservatory program, where the top eight men and four women are accepted to take a crash course of 20 weeks on the classical stage that she was eager to take. Contractor got a confirmed place for the next season. She was also offered the role of Hermia.
